Screening «Srbenka» & conversation with Nebojša Slijepčević

Saturday, 8 December, 2018 - 20:30 to 22:30
About the film: In the winter of 1991, Croatia is defending itself against the military aggression emanating from Serbia, there is chaos and self-justice. One of the victims of this conflict is twelve-year-old Aleksandra Zec, a juvenile of Serbian descent lynched in Zagreb.

No one was ever convicted for this murder. A generation later, the well-known theater director Oliver Frljić staged the oppressive incident with the also twelve-year-old Serbian Nina in the lead role. While outcasts are demonstrating against the premiere outside, the rehearsal turns into collective psychotherapy. After the film screening, there will be conversation with the filmmaker Nebojša Slijepčević.
