Migration challenges and opportunities, sustainable development goals and social inclusion were key topics of the 2nd Swiss NGO Roundtable, which gathered representatives of Swiss Non-Governmental Organisations with various ongoing projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Roundtable started with a brief presentation of the partnership and cooperation between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main objective of this cooperation remains the creation of "more and better social, economic and political opportunities and perspectives for all people of Bosnia and Herzegovina".

It followed a panel discussion about migration into BiH, focussing on the State of affairs in early June 2018, the perspective of the BiH government and the role, coordination and cooperation of NGOs regarding the assistance to refugees in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The migration out of BiH and the huge potential of the BiH Diaspora for the development of their home country, including knowledge, experience, professional abilities and networks that the diaspora acquired in other countries, were also addressed during the discussion.
The further sessions focussed on one side on the Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals analysing also the role of the government as well as NGOs regarding the promotion of the SDG agenda and the commitment towards SDGs. On the other side, the participants discussed the importance of social inclusion and shared also their experience in addressing social inclusion in their work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interactive program of the 2nd Swiss NGO Roundtable gave the participants also the possibility to learn more about the activities and projects of other NGOs in BiH with a Swiss background, to share information and experiences and discuss possible future cooperation.
