From ancient times it is well-known that the cabbage is a trademark of Semberia, and that traditional dish from Bosnia and Herzegovina “sarma” is made the best of cabbage from Bijeljina. This vegetable is very specific because of the large amount of cellulose and sugar, and besides the fact that cabbage is a delicious vegetable in a fresh state, a special delicacy makes sour cabbage. The production assortment of Busines venture Stajić is branded as "From the Heart of Semberia" consisting of three product packages: cabbage, grated cabbage, and cabbage leaf. For next season, Business venture Stajić will introduce a new product on the market, so-called “rasol” – sour pickle (cabbage) juice, for which production process is established.  

Taking into account the needs of the growing market and production capacities as well as the potential to increase demand on the foreign market, especially the B&H diaspora, Business venture Stajic is currently in the phase of pre-registration into a limited liability company.

Business idea about establishment of brand “From Heart of Semberia” was supported within the YEP Business Ideas Incubator, a comprehensive entrepreneurship development support system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was implemented by the Youth Employment Project (YEP) supported by the Government of Switzerland, in cooperation with 32 local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018. YEP Business Ideas Incubator supported the establishment and development of over 120 business ventures which are provided with further expert and mentoring support. As part of the implementation of the Mentoring program IMPAKT, Youth Employment Project (YEP) and Organization i-Platform - Diaspora for Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the initiative supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, will work together to find mentors for participants of the YEP Business Ideas Incubator in Swiss Diaspora.
