Basel meets Sarajevo - The siege of the multi-ethnic city of Sarajevo lasted for 1425 days (from April 1992 to February 1996) and was the longest siege in the 20th century. The Dayton Agreement has indeed ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it also manoeuvred the country into a dead end: Bosnia and Herzegovina is politically and economically blocked. Leijla Kalamujic and Saida Mustajbegovic present their texts, which tell about the wounds of war, but also about living on and the power of literature. With Dževad Karahasan, Cathrin Störmer and Katrin Eckert. In cooperation with the Basel East European Forum.
