The aim of the conference, which is expected to be attended by more than 60 participants from 14 countries, is the gathering of young people from the diaspora and their association with representatives of institutions and non-governmental sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as their interconnection in the countries of reception.

The conference will be realized within the project "Diaspora for Development", which is a project of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Switzerland, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

This is one of a series of activities carried out in accordance with the Policy on Cooperation with Emigration, adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina two years ago, which clearly shows the state's commitment to strengthening and preserving relations with emigrants and creating conditions for participation and the contribution of emigrants to the socio-economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The forthcoming conference will be an opportunity for young people from the diaspora to present their views on how to improve Bosnia and Herzegovina's cooperation and its emigration, their own expectations of this cooperation, as well as the real opportunities that their homeland provides in this process. The Ministry's goal is to build bridges of long-term cooperation and binding of young people from the emigration to the homeland in building confidence and improving relations with young people from the emigration.
