Invitation to organizations in emigration to join the Diaspora Online Check-In and Mural Digital Work Place

Sector for Emigration of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH has launched an initiative for mutual networking of organizations in the Diaspora in order to improve mutual cooperation, exchange project ideas, establish partnerships and create conditions for the implementation of joint projects.

Initiative of Ministry was initially joined by two organizations from the Diaspora: i-platform from Switzerland and pangea network from Germany. Both organizations played an important role in the further development of this initiative: the i-platform in creating the idea for the monthly Diaspora Online Check-in, and the pangea network in creating the Digital Workspace for the Diaspora in Mural.

Diaspora Online Check-in

Diaspora Online Check-in presents regular monthly online meetings of the Ministry and representatives of organizations that have so far joined this initiative: i-platform (Switzerland), pangea network (Germany), SBHUD and BiH Academics (Denmark) and BH Roots (Austria) . Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month at 4pm via the Zoom app and led by the staff of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH.

Agenda of Diaspora Online Check-in meetings

The agenda is uniform, and includes:

  1. Introduction and welcoming new participants
  2. Informing representatives of Diaspora about current events from BiH / Exchange of information about current events in BiH and activities of Diaspora in receiving countries
  3. Review of new entries on the Digital Workspace for the Diaspora in Mural and discussion
  4. Miscellaneous

Mural Digital Workspace for the Diaspora

The digital workspace for the diaspora was created in the Mural app and serves as a space to connect diaspora organizations on a virtual wall to share ideas and projects and find partner organizations to implement projects. Ideas and projects are divided into clusters: Commerce and Economics, Science and Education, Culture and Tradition etc. Digital workspace for the diaspora is the starting point for developing mutual cooperation and a place from where concrete ideas and projects for the benefit of Diaspora and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be realized.

We invite organizations in the diaspora that are interested in proactive work in building partnerships, exchanging ideas, developing and implementing common projects to join this initiative.
