Youth Forum in Bern

At the initiative of students, volunteers and OSSA organization, i-platform organized Youth Forum in Bern on June 6, 2019. The Youth Forum was intended for all interested students and young people from the Balkans who live, work and study in Switzerland, and aimed to exchange information and personal experiences with other participants.

The Youth Forum, which was organized at the University of Bern, was attended by 50 participants, students, youth and volunteers who organized the event. This was one of a series of events through which young people from the diaspora are trying to gather and systematically improve their position by exchanging personal experiences and information with other participants.

The forum consisted of three parts - the presentation of the OSSA organization, the presentation of projects of the i-platform, and the success story of the main speaker Dr. Vladimir Cmiljanović. Then all participants of the forum briefly presented themselves, followed by networking and apero.

The initiator of the Youth Forum was Jovana Micic, representing OSSA organization, which she briefly presented. She also thanked other volunteers who worked on organizing the event itself.

The i-platform project was presented by Vanja Draca Stojnic, a project co-coordinator. She pointed out that the i-platform has several ongoing projects related to young people in the diaspora, and one of them is the Summer School in Stolac (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and announced that in the coming period the i-platform will have the opportunity to present start-ups. She then added that the individual initiatives and volunteer work of all young people from the region are only one indicator of the potential that the diaspora has.

The main speaker at the Youth Forum was Dr. Vladimir Cmiljanovic. He talked about his life story, all the ups, and downs that he experienced with his arrival in Switzerland. Dr. Cmiljanovic worked on the invention of cancer medicine, along with his sister Dr. Natasa Cmiljanovic. He is a founder of PIQUR and SWISS ROCKETS in Basel. The Swiss media has repeatedly reported on the incredible success of this scientist, and more about the rewards he has won can find HEREHERE as HERE. A positive story from which young people can learn a lot and learn lessons. This way, we use the opportunity and thank Dr. Vladimir Cmiljanović, who set aside his time and came to the first forum of young people, and patiently responded to numerous questions of the participants of the forum.

The general conclusion of the participants of the first Youth Forum is that this gathering is necessary and is rated as very positive, and the next Youth Forum is already scheduled for September 2019. You can see the photo album from the event here.
