Acting Together for Youth Empowerment - training course for youth workers - applications open!
“Acting Together for Youth Empowerment” training course aims to develop the competences of youth workers from Switzerland, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania by introducing them to theatre-based techniques for youth work and enabling them to design new approaches in addressing emerging needs of youth in their respective communities. The participants will have an opportunity to engage in comparative exchange of good practices in youth work, learn how to design and implement theatre-based activities, explore ways of engaging youth with fewer opportunities, and discuss the importance and pathways for youth work recognition in their respective countries.
The training course will take place in Switzerland, from 03/10/2022 to 11/10/2022, and promises to be a dynamic and meaningful experience for the participants, filled with peer-learning activities, theatre-based practical work, guest speakers and experiential learning.
The working language of the training course will be English.
Food and accommodation costs, as well as travel expenses, will be covered by the organizers.
Who can apply and how?
Young people aged 18 to 30, from Switzerland, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania, who are currently engaged in their communities or organizations as youth workers. The participants will be asked to share current challenges they experience in working with youth, as well as youth’s needs in their respective communities. Through experiential learning, with other participants and the trainers, they will apply a theatre-based approach towards identified challenges and needs.
