The Nomadic Monument "Što Te Nema" comes to Zurich

Join them on July 11 at Helvetiaplatz in Zurich to promote tolerance, mutual understanding and living together in Switzerland! La Terra Nostra and its partners are bringing together more than 1000 people to build a nomadic monument together through cooking coffee!

With the nomadic monument "Što Te Nema" ("Why are not you here?") that consists of 7500 coffee cups, this year the Bosnian-American artist Aida Šehović moves to Zurich. It is the 13th time the monument moves to a new city to create space for healing and coming together and to demonstrate that we have agency to fight against oppression, violence and bigotry. Using the genocide in Srebrenica as symbol and starting point for interaction, it aims to sensitize the Swiss and immigrant population in Switzerland through facilitating the exchange with people from different cultural backgrounds. Together with volunteers, visitors of the monument will fill 7500 coffee cups with coffee.

You can contribute to our vision to promote tolerance and living together in Switzerland.

Be part of it as volunteer or simply visit us!
