Otvoreno polje - Open Field

Climate change, unsustainable food production, ecosystem destruction, the global economy and social injustice are just some of the urgent concerns that need to be answered.

Permaculture provides us with the tools to help address these problems systematically and tailor solutions to the context of our own local community.

The proliferation of permaculture and the networking of its practitioners is of paramount importance in a time of global crisis as we currently stand. The importance of such action is reflected in the use of collective intelligence to address social, economic and environmental problems in local communities, guided by the ethical principles of permaculture: caring for the people, caring for the land and fair distribution of surplus.

Otvoreno polje - Open Field

Open Field is an experiment consisting of a series of online events to work on the formation of a long-term sustainable social system centered around the idea of permaculture in our speaking area. We believe that such a resource would serve all practitioners and permaculture enthusiasts to develop new collaborations, gain knowledge and skills, promote more effectively and empower the movement itself in society.

Invitation to initial meetings

We invite you to three one-hour introductory meetings which will be held on April 11, 18.04. and 22.04. 2020, with a objective to getting to know each other and to master the tools necessary to continue the joint experiment (it is advisable for each participant to participate in at least one of these three events);

Open Field Central Event

The Open Field Central Event is scheduled for April 25. of year 2020, a four-hour online conference during which we will be using the Open Space Technology method. This will be a pioneering endeavor for all of us who are present, and hopefully a cornerstone to create a unique permaculture scene in our speaking area.

The principles of Open Space Technology are:
• whoever comes is welcome;
• whatever happens is the only thing that can happen;
• when it starts, it's the right time;
• When it's over, it's over.
