School of everyday politics

The consultative Kick-off meeting was held in Switzerland in the framework of the project "School of daily's politics" in the period from 12.01.2019 until 17.01.2019.

The project team of the Association "Red" visited Switzerland in order to discuss with members of the i-platform and the working group for education and science about the project "School of daily's politics", its implementation and its links with associations, organizations and institutions in Switzerland that could participate in its implementation.

Bilateral meetings were held with the following organizations: 
Campus for Democracy, which represents a national platform for political education and participation; Okaj Zürich, that is representing a cantonal umbrella organization that deals with open and youth work, consisting of ca. 600 organizations in the Canton of Zurich; Mr. Florianom Vockom, a parliamentarian and president of the Association of Labour Unions in Canton Aargau. Meetings were also organized in Berne with representatives of the Institute of Education from Labour Union - Movendo and with Mrs. Catherine Weber, Secretary General of VPOD NGO - Union for workers employed in the NGO sector.

The general impression is that the meetings were very successful, since initial contacts were realized and professional networking with great potential for future cooperation and cooperation.

The project "School of daily's politics" is aimed to strengthening of general social capacities and social trust, and developing the strengths, capabilities and engagement of the population, which are the prerequisite for any rational, balanced, progressive and sustainable socio-political and economic development of any country. The overall objective of the project is to build capacities for self-organization and self-representation of different segments of the socio-political organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the specific objectives of the project are the development and testing of an experimental educational program dedicated to the issues of transformative socio-political action, as well as the formation of an initial organizational base of knowledge and strength which future broader education framework can begin. The establishment of cooperation with individuals and organizations in Switzerland and the improvement of the existing relations with the Bosnian Diaspora in the area of ​​education and science is also one of the very important aspects of the entire project. 

CRVENA (the official name : Association for Culture and CRVENA) is a left-wing feminist organization from Sarajevo. The organization was established in 2010 and marks its birthday on the 8th of March. CRVENA was founded by a group of friends with the aim of generating energy and impulses through culture, which will lead to the dynamisation of other spheres of life and everyday life in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At present, our work encompasses artistic, research, educational and political practices, and is focused on creating and maintaining the conditions for a progressive social change through the development of self-management capacities, critical and imaginary horizons, and organizational relationships and capabilities in society. We work on the crossing of four transversal and longitudinally related problem fields defined by the relations and oppositions of art and politics, work and leisure, women and society, and city and nature.
