On February 23rd, thanks to the efforts of the City Administration of Zenica, headed by the Mayor of Zenica, Mr. Fuad Kasumović, and representatives of the i-platform, the first "Zenica Meet Up" is organized to bring together many Zenica residents from all over the world.
Citizens who are originate from this city, as well as many other Bosnians and Herzegovinians, have maintained strong ties with their homeland and their hometown. Therefore, this will be an ideal opportunity for the participants of "Meet Up" to recall, or get acquainted with the current socio-political situation in this city, highlight their suggestions for improving the daily lives of their fellow citizens, in certain fields, consider potential investments, and meet with the citizens of this Bosnian city who, perhaps, have not seen for years.
It should be noted that the City of Zenica for many years, thanks to the developed Department for the Diaspora, has an e - register that serves as a kind of link between the citizens of Zenica living abroad, with their city. Thanks to this platform, Zenica emigrants, among other things, have easier access to certain documents that are very important.
Similar meetings so far
i-platform has so far successfully organized a number of similar activities, some of which are "Kladanj Meet Up" and "Živinice Meet Up". These municipalities, just like Zenica, nurture friendly relations with their diaspora, and, thanks to this project, certain progress has already been made in these areas. We will soon organize similar project activities with two other cities in the northeast of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Thanks to previous positive experiences, we invite the Zenica diaspora, eager for the progress of their city, to save the date, attend a virtual meeting that will be held via the Zoom platform and spend some time with us.
