Men don't cry

The Association of Swiss Psychodramatists PDH will show the film MEN DO NOT CRY by Alen Drljevic in Bern and Zurich. The film is shown in original version with German subtitles. Trailer for the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dgSSQGJSe4

This feature film deals with the consequences of the war effort on soldiers of different sides in the war in Yugoslavia and the attempt of a peace organization to work on the traumatic experiences of the veterans and overcome old resentments. In a workshop lasting several weeks, which takes place in a remote mountain hotel, the group therapist relies in his work predominantly on the methods of psychodrama.

The director, who was also involved in the war effort, dealt intensively with this form of therapy in the preparation of the film and impressively illustrates the group dynamics and the development of the figures.

We will show this film, followed by a panel discussion on trauma therapy and psychodrama:

in Berne: Kino Movie 1 / Tuesday 25.September at 18 o'clock
