The delegation of the Swiss Embassy was led by Patricia Barandun, Deputy Head of the Western Balkans, and was joined by representatives of the SDC and representatives of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH. Thanks to the tireless work of the employees of the i-platform, a positive story known as "Local Meetup" started from Kladanj, and later spread to other BiH cities. This project, both in Kladanj and in other parts of the country, has resulted in numerous, successfully implemented, projects and networking of the diaspora and the non-governmental sector with local authorities.
On behalf of the i-platform, Dalida Karabdić, representative of the i-platform in Kladanj, Nermin Zejnilović, representative of the i-platform in Bijeljina, and Safet Kubat, Zenica representative of the i-platform, addressed the audience.
"We are proud to have had the opportunity to host representatives of the Swiss Embassy and present our work. It was confirmed on this occasion that they provide strong support in our efforts to connect our diaspora with the NGO sector and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are very pleased. when it comes to the promotion of potential and cooperation that we managed to achieve, in a very short time, with local authorities and the non-governmental sector", said Karabdić, who also introduced the guests to the "pitchbook".
"In accordance with the principles of housing policy and endowment, so far, thanks to the SDC, about 154 million KM have been provided for the care of about 30,000 inhabitants throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are extremely glad to have the opportunity to cooperate with people who nurture social policy principles, and we are especially honored that these same people recognized our actions, our activities, and, with their presence, confirmed that we are doing the right thing", Kubat added.
Very pleased with what she had the opportunity to hear and see, Ms. Barandun said that the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation will continue to focus its activities on promoting economic and state independence, improving production conditions, helping solve environmental problems and ensuring better access to education and health care, which they have done very successfully so far.
The Mayor of the Municipality, Jusuf Čavkunović, also addressed the audience. He used the opportunity to present the economic, natural and cultural-historical riches of Kladanj, and in his speech called on the i-platform to continue this successful cooperation.
Representatives of the Swiss Embassy used the visit to Kladanj to visit the city center together with the mayor and representatives of the i-platform, visit the Kursumlija mosque, and the house where products of members of the Association "Woman-Woman" Kladanj are solding.
On this occasion, the representatives of the Association "Woman-Woman" Kladanj presented to the guests a positive story regarding the production of healthy, organic food, and the project of inclusion of children with disabilities.
